Swimming this Summer...

So maybe what you want to say (about swimming) doesn't quite fit into one of our other categories. This is the place for you.

And you are right there is no real "accurate" way besides these conversions which are all different and are all probably a tiny bit off. But it can still give a rough estimate. It can also give false hope.

He swam with Ohio State this summer and will be resting for nationals. Wouldn't be surprised to see a 23 mid or low out of him in the 50.

Funny, when I was 26+ and 58 flat LCM, I was 24.2, 51.9 SCY. Now I was comparably slow in yards, but 22.5? Yeah... right.

2:15 in the 200IM is not equal to 1:55, more like 1:57, as 4:46 is far from 4:07, more like 4:12. the swimmingoworld.com's converter is bad as converters go, and conversions are less useful than real data... so yeah, I'm with Cheadle, stick with the real data.

I have not broken a minute in the 100 free for 15 years, and am at least 10 pounds over my ideal dating weight. Boom!

I am 60 lbs over my college weight but I can still go a 101 in the 100 free in a drag suit.... But I can live vicariously thru my kid who now hit 190 at 5'9'' and it is all muscle from boot camp - boom! and I'll toast a virtual beer with Mac

Not wanting to "weigh" in on all this fat talk, here's the link to the USA Swimming Nationals pysch sheet. A casual search finds it short on D3 swimmers; I see that Stewart-Bates is swimming, as are the super Williams women Wilson and Todhunter. This promises to be one fast and exciting meet.

It looks like Denison's stud recruit Spencer Fronk will also be swimming at Seniors.

I hope we do, and I'm guessing any extra bulk (muscle) that he doesn't need in the pool will melt off soon enough once swimming really gets going.
